Overview

Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles require proper training to ensure effective operation and the safety of your team. From driver operational training to field level maintenance and repair, BCDS has the training package demanded for utilizing MRAPs to their fullest potential.

Driver Training

  • Specifically designed for military personnel who operate MRAPs in remote, harsh off-road terrain
  • MRAP operation and driving techniques in varying terrain
  • Self-recovery methods and MRAP-to-MRAP recovery for disabled MRAPs
  • Advanced off-road MRAP recovery techniques including complex winching
  • Students gain a thorough, detailed understanding of all MRAP systems
  • Emphasis on common field failures, repair techniques and operational preventive maintenance

With ground breaking principals and theories, BCDS emerged in military 4WD driver training with focus on NSTV platforms. Since then, the NSTV lessons taught have been carried forward to various other platforms such as LT-ATV, SRATS, GMV and MATV. Operational driver training for the MRAP platform is conceptually the same as any other vehicle. However, with the significant weight and size increase over standard military platforms, the MRAP requires scrupulous attention to these characteristics and the environment in which it operates.

BCDS' MRAP driver training program focuses on safe MRAP operation with advanced off-road MRAP recovery techniques, including complex winching, multi-MRAP recovery, rollover prevention and rollover recovery methods. In depth, hands-on mechanical training is conducted in field conditions. Students will gain a thorough, detailed understanding of all MRAP systems with emphasis on commonly encountered field failures, repair techniques, and operational preventive maintenance requirements.

With the proper operational training the MRAP can not only be used to shield your team from life threatening blasts, but also allow them to remain engaged in successfully completing the mission at hand.
